Job Description
PURPOSE
- To plan, initiate and execute all major rotating equipment maintenance activities as per approved 5-year business plan, and identify improvements to increase reliability and reduce cost.
- The Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer reports to Rotating Equipment section head (HBM/R).
- The job involves preparation and execution of five year and yearly plans and to perform major overhauls, trouble shooting of Rotating equipment in the plant..
- The main challenges for the jobholder are to ensure technical integrity and availability of the ageing plant rotating equipment, and carry out major overhauls at shortest possible duration to minimize downtime.
- To prepare five-year maintenance program, availability of required spares, identification of required resources, manpower, tools and materials.
- To comply with Gasco Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among all concerned personnel.
- To ensure the implementation of engineering control, standards and specifications.
- To ensure the implementation of the plant modification procedure for rotating equipment, when required.
- To fully utilize the Maximo Management System in terms of work execution, material reservation, history update, budget control and purchasing.
- To prepare, review and execute contract Scope of Work documentation.
- To trouble shoot of the chronic and recurring problems related to the rotating equipment.
- To train and develop the assigned staff with emphasis to UAE Nationals.
- To perform failure analysis and recommend solutions for rectifying the condition.
- To compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital, Operating and 5 Year Plan budgets, and monitor/control expenditure.
- To produce method statements and job procedures for all critical activities.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 9 years experience in the same field
