1. Pakenya FEM apa Analitik?

Kalau saya bikin software sendiri, kira2 syaratnya apa biar rekan2 industri
mau pakenya? Apa harus ada MoU dulu atau bagaimana ?

Pak Sugeng dan rekan2 migas,

SESAM itu program analisa struktur 3 dimensi yang berbasis Finite Element.

Program ini dihasilkan oleh DNV dan spesifik untuk offshore structure, namun
tidak menutup kemungkinan digunakan untuk on-shore structure.

Namun setahu saya program ini tidak umum digunakan di Indonesia, tidak seperti
SACS atau GTStrudl (juga bisa untuk Offshore structure).

SESAM, menurut saya merupakan program aplikasi yang "berbau" program
bahasa, karena flexibility yang dimiliki cukup luas dalam melakukan suatu analisa.
Hal ini karena option2 yang dimiliki cukup luas.

Berbeda dengan SACS yang lebih "user friendly" karena banyak parameter2
dalam analisa yang "di-defaultkan" oleh program tersebut. Artinya
user tidak perlu menentukan terlalu banyak parameter2 umum yang sering digunakan
dalam analisa.

Sedangkan pada program2 yang berbau "bahasa", parameter2 itu perlu
ditentukan oleh user sehingga bisa juga digunakan untuk research dan bukan hanya
untuk aplikasi semata.

GTStrudl sendiri pun dari yang saya tau merupakan program yang cukup flexible
juga, karena banyak option2 yang dimiliki dalam sebuah analisa.

Contoh program2 spesifik untuk aplikasi semata adalah kira2 seperti :
ETABS, SACS, StaadPro, Sanspro.

Program2 aplikasi campur bahasa (language) :
SESAM, GTStrudl, SAP2000.

SESAM Introduction

SESAM for the Maritime and Offshore Industries

SESAM is recognised by many as a leader in computer aided engineering (CAE)
within the maritime and offshore industries. And to maintain this position the
system is continuously being further developed through incorporation of the
latest software and engineering technology. SESAM is actively maintained and
supported and is therefore the ideal tool for design consultants, engineering
companies, yards, oil companies and other institutions that rely on a
quality tool with quality services.

The SESAM System

Each of the four categories of programs within SESAM -the preprocessors, environmental
analysis, structural
analysis and postprocessors – is comprised of several programs dedicated to
various tasks. As shown in the
figure above the programs communicate through the SESAM Interface Files – a
well-defined ASCII formatted
file system ensuring data compatibility over time.

The SESAM Interface Files are comprised of :
The Input Interface Files – the T-files – containing the FE model
The Matrix Interface File – the M-file – containing matrix data (e.g. used for
Sestra-Splice communication), this file is not shown in the figure above
The Loads Interface Files – the L-files – containing hydrodynamic loads

The Results Interface Files of which there are two:
– The R-files – basically containing structural analysis results
– The G-files – basically containing global response (e.g. motion) results

The SESAM Manager
A SESAM analysis is performed by use of Manager. This is a windows-based program
for selecting and executing
the appropriate programs for a given analysis job. Manager also manages the
files involved. The figure above illustrates the procedure of a typical SESAM
analysis – shown on top of the Manager window.

Analysis procedures such as the one illustrated above or more complicated procedures
are carried out using the graphical user interface of Manager. They may still
be logged as line-mode commands. This log may be used as a command input file
to redo the complete analysis in the background (batch). By changing for example
the input to the preprocessor the complete analysis procedure – from modelling
to postprocessing – for a revised model may quickly be carried out. This is
similar to the command logging and command input files described for the preprocessors.

The SESAM Philosophy

SESAM is a modular system open for enhancements with new technology, features
and programs

Data transfer between SESAM programs is provided by the SESAM Interface File
system, which is general,
open and compatible over time.

SESAM provides tools dedicated to analysis and design within the maritime and
offshore industries.

SESAM shall be able to solve problems of virtually unlimited size and complexity

SESAM shall be based on the most recent and proven technology.

SESAM’s modularity also penetrates the individual programs: Subroutine libraries
for user-program interfacing, data handling, print, plot, display, etc., are
shared by the programs. Program development has always been – and will
continue to be – performed in close co-operation with the users. This is achieved
through the daily contact
with the engineering community and through yearly user meetings

munkin kita yang masih junior ini, bisa dijelasin cara pemodelan untuk nganalisa
structure offshore baik itu tlp, jacket dll, dan apakah semua software structure
analys selain SESAM dapat digunakan. misal SAP 2000, lebih baik lagi kalau sekalian
dikirimin aplikasinya pada suatu project yang telah dikerjakan…

Perbedaan utama antara program Offshore dan on-shore ada pada environmental
load-nya, seperti wave dan wind yang bisa degenerate automatic oleh program
tsb (tidak perlu kita convert manually ke beban static, hal ini akan dilakukan
oleh program atas permintaan kita).

Selain itu, perbedaan juga ada pada beberapa pilihan analisa, seperti analisa
fatique, joint can check, launching, up-ending, etc.

Di luar itu sebenarnya sama saja.

Jadi, bisa saja analisa offshore dilakukan oleh program on-shore, namun prosesnya
akan berliku2 dan lebih rumit dikarenakan banyak sekali yang harus dilakukan
check manual. Karena itu tidak direkomendasikan mengingat kesalahan manusia
(human error) akan lebih besar.

Apakah ada program lain selain SESAM yang dapat digunakan untuk aplikasi offshore?

Pak alex, tolong dong kita ditunjukan web site yang menjelaskan, konsep dasar
dari enviromental load daripada structure offshore dalam hal ini wave and wind,
atau pak alex punya artikelnya..

Maaf ya pak alex kebanyakan nanya, maklum masih beginer banget…

Pak Badaruddin,
Ada beberapa program offshore yang cukup terkenal (di Indo), seperti SACS, GTStrudl
(offshore & On-shore), MicroSAS (produksi McDermott??)

Sejauh ini setahu saya SACS yang paling user friendly, karena program ini yang
paling spesifik untuk offshore structure.

Untuk SESAM saya pikir bisa ditanyakan pada DNV Jakarta, saya dulu pernah dapat
training langsung dari DNV pusat (Norwegia?) di Singapore. Alamat dan telpon

Sedangkan untuk GTStrudl, dulu setahu saya diadakan kursus rutin oleh Fak.
Teknik Sipil Unika Parahyangan Bandung selama kurang lebih 1 Minggu setiap semesternya.
