Sebelum anda membuat suatu Lab, anda harus meng-identifikasi dan memetakan: 1. purpose dan scope of work dari activity lab (analisa apaan? Gas, liquid, solid…? ; 2. material/ bahan kimia yg akan dipakai ; 3. instrument lab apa saja yg akan digunakan untuk activity lab…perlu fume hood? ; 4. identifikasi bahaya dan dampak (risk dan hazard) yg mungkin timbul karena suatu activity lab…ujung2nya anda punya program safety/environment/health ; 5. jika ada waste lab, bagaimana waste management-nya? Plumbingnya? Bagaimana ventilasi ; 6. bagaimana system cleaning/ cuci-cuci glass atau sampling container? ; 7. amdal jika diperlukan
